APC NWC Urges Bayelsa Stakeholders To Close To Ranks For Victory In 2027

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda has stressed the importance of the Bayelsa APC to the party, saying that all stakeholders must unite to secure victory for the party come 2027 general elections.

The National Chairman represented by the Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, emphasized the importance of Bayelsa State APC to the leadership, adding that the party will give the necessary support to win the forthcoming election.

Eneukwu spoke during the 12th Expanded Stakeholders Meeting/Endorsement of President Tinubu as the sole candidate of the APC in Yenagoa.

He appealed to the aggrieved leaders to jettison whatever differences and tow the path of peace, describing the reconcilatory move as commendable as the national leadership will do everything to ensure its success.

He said that President Tinubu is a pragmatic and a progressive leader determined to transform Nigeria for the betterment of all, pointing that the developmental strided recordef by Mr. President is attracting Governors and National Assembly members from the opposition into the party.

” We will ensure that the interest of the
party is managed. Bayelsa is important to our party, and we must do whatever we have to do, for the victory of the party in the state.

” We have a very good candidate in the President and that is why the South South Governors has taking the lead to join our party in support of the President for his reelection. Other state governors in other regions that are not in our party will soon join us, so that of the President is returned everything will go smoothly.

” Mr. President is on the move to take Nigerians to the promise land, and the only way to achieve this is in unity. The leadership of the party in the state need to eschews more tolerance and carry everyone along.

” And I want the former Governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva to personally lead the reconciliation so we can achieve the unity we desire. Forget all differences and bring everyone together, he added.

Also speaking, the leader of the Party and former Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva noted that the national hasn’t treated Bayelsa fairly, adding that had the national given the state the support the party would have achieved more.

He said “We did well in 2023, but not what we expected. Today we are more ready than ever before. The only thing we lack is support from the party at the national level, with your support we are the strongest, nobody will be able to stand us in elections.

” 2027 is already a done deal, of we have the support of the national leaders of the party.”

On his part, MD/CEO NDDC, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, noted that most people thought the party was no more in existence, but today the NWC can see that the party is alive and strong.

He disclosed that reconciliation is on and those in charge are doing well, noting that today the party has members in the state who are hungry for victory

Earlier, Chairman of the Party at the state, Chief Dennis Otiotio, said the meeting was to critically appraise the performance of the President and also adopt him as the sole candidate of the party for the 2027 Presidential election.

The leadership of the party pass a vote of confidence on President Tinubu owing to his developmental strides that cut across all sectors of the economy and endorsed him as the sole candidate of the party in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
